Vacation

When you own as many dogs as we do, vacation away from home doesn’t happen very often. This month we went on a cruise with our entire family and Larissa, our foreign exchange student. We had a wonderful time. What I really enjoy about being on a cruise ship is not thinking or worrying about where to eat or what to make for meals. In the past 33 years I have prepared a lot of meals for my family. To have a break and just enjoy each other’s company and the accommodations of the ship was amazing. We surfed on the simulator, rock climbed, played in dodge ball and ping pong tournaments, went zip lining in Belize and snorkeling in Cozumel. We had dinner together every night and enjoyed the variety of music and entertainment. It was so nice to just be together. I am thankful for the opportunity to have gone on this trip. It is a memory we will all cherish. Coming home to this mild weather has been great! We are expecting Zoey and Copper to have their puppies in April and May. In June, Anna will be graduating from High School, Kelly will have her baby, and Larissa will be going back to Germany. Life is always changing, yet some things stay the same. The love of family is something that we always have and should treasure and not take for granted. I realized on this trip even more how much I enjoy my family and each of their unique personalities. They each have their own strengths and weaknesses and have such amazing character. I am blessed to be their wife and mom.
