The Boys

David and Daniel are men now. It is hard for me to realize that. It seems like it was just yesterday they were running around the farm, doing what boys do. Exploring, hauling wood, hunting, having fun and getting into a little bit of trouble now and then. Last week end Daniel shot a 16 point buck on the farm. It was so fun to be in on all the action, and his excitement as he shot the deer of a life time. Tonight David’s window cleaning business was featured on channel 11 news (http://www.kare11.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=882433). He started his business after graduating from Bethel college. He started out small and now has 10 employees. His company provides an array of services, one of which is hanging holiday lights. I was so proud as I watched his interview. He brought up the fact that employees are key to a successful company. I have been fortunate to have the best employees at Rolling Oaks. They are all my family members! Our kids give us their best, and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate what each one brings to the business, and to our family. They all have their strengths. Each one has a unique character. I am always being coached on ways to improve. We have had a few bumps in the road lately, but we still have what is most important. Each other.
