Naiya

My sweet Naiya—-oooooo I just can’t get enough of her! She’s my little sweetie pie. I think she’s the happiest dog in town-she smiles a lot! The older she gets (just turned 4!) the more and more her personality shines through. She’s unbelievably smart. When I had my hip surgery and was couch/bed bound for 2 weeks she would lay next to me or near me all day long. Only getting up to go potty. On maybe the 2nd day I was home from the hospital Naiya hopped up on the couch and she looked at me and then just stuck her paw right on my hip that had, had surgery. She was so gentle about it. She kept her paw there for a long time. I couldn’t believe it. I think she knew I was hurting and was showing me the only way she knew how.

Mike was working at the zoo right when he got out of law school while he was waiting to take the BAR exam. He found a pacifier on the ground at work and stuck it in his pocket intending on taking it to lost and found. He forgot it was in his pocket and when he got home he put his clothes in the laundry room. Naiya found the pacifier and came upstairs with it in her mouth sucking on it just like a baby. We almost peed our pants laughing. I grabbed my phone quick and took a picture. ;0)

She is such a beauty. I can’t go anywhere without people telling me how beautiful she is. I’m so looking forward to seeing you when we drop her off for our Italian vacation. I know she is going to go bonkers with happiness when she gets back to the farm!

LOTS of hugs, jenn
