My son David sent me this photo this morning saying every time he sits at the table, this is the audience he has. Him and Missy own two of our goldens, Cabela and Milly. It was David’s birthday yesterday. I can remember the day he was born, and how happy we were to have a son. He taught us a lot about life. We learned through David that each child has their own character, their own gifts. They are not “mini me’s” and as much as we want them to be a certain way, they have to make their own choices. It is good to recognize your child’s strengths and weaknesses, and then help them build on the strengths. Raising David was a challenge, but looking back we can see that he made us better, stronger and not so narrow minded. He has grown into an amazing man, husband, son, brother and friend. I am so proud of who he has become and the choices he has made. As I look back on my life with David, I smile. He has a passion for life. He lives life big. That is what I want to do. Live life big. Enjoy the moment. Be carefree and know “it will all work out”! Happy Birthday to my first born son. Life is better because of you!
