On Saturday, April 3 Zoey’s puppies went to their new homes! It has been extremely busy here with three litters. On Easter Sunday we had our kids home and friends over, sat out on a blanket and held Jewel and Emmy’s puppies all after-noon. This week we start socializing Jewel’s puppies and have gone to day care, Amy’s class and Pro-works. A male puppy from Jewel’s litter got a scratch or cut on his eye, and needed two little stitches. He is now wearing the cone of shame (from the movie “UP”) :) He will recover completely. We have a male puppy available in this litter. They have a very sweet, calm temperament.

Zoey is actually our daughter Kelly and son in law Nate’s dog. (from our blood lines) She lives in their home except when she is in her heat cycle or having babies. Kelly and Nate have two children, Isaac and Avery. Yesterday they came to see the babies and Isaac was so in love with them! He did not want to leave them, and Zoey was so good about letting him handle her babies! It is so sweet to watch Isaac with his dog. Zoey adores him and is so gentle. When he first came into the puppy pen, Zoey walked between Isaac and her babies, then she laid next to the pen with a proud look as if to tell Isaac “look what I did!” Avery was not as sure about the puppies, as they squirmed and squealed, she was happy just looking at this point!

REMEMBERING BANNER

I have not posted anything on the blog for a while as I just needed to take a little break after the two litters we had, and losing Banner. I can’t tell you how much it has meant to me to receive so many kind emails regarding Banner’s passing. This is a photo of Zoey, our daughter and son in law’s puppy. She is from Banner’s last litter. It has helped so much to hear how his babies have blessed so many people! This is a response from one of our clients, and I thought it was so sweet, just wanted to share it.

We are so sorry to hear about your loss of Banner. Jack and I first read about it just after Christmas. As a memory to him we have changed Brooklyn‘s middle name from Beyonce to Banner, so she is now known as Brooklyn Banner. She is doing well and is such a good and loving dog. She may come and visit you this Spring for some training after she is spayed.

The other thing that Jack did in memory of Banner was that during one of his traveling basketball games he played in memory of Banner. It was really cute, when the opposing team was bringing the ball down court and he was on defense he actually yelled out “Woof Woof.”

Again we are so sorry for your loss.

All the very best,

Andy and Jack
