Taking Delilah’s puppies for a swim
Busy with Delilah’s litter
Emmy’s litter at two weeks old
Zoey had her puppies!
Zoey had 5 males, 2 females on June 23. No C-section! YEAH! Zoey is an excellent mom and her puppies are doing great! We have male puppies available in this litter. These puppies will be ready to go to their new homes August 11. Please fill out a puppy application if you are interested and we will call you for a phone interview.
Emmy had her puppies!
Emmy gave birth to 8 puppies June 15! 5 males and 3 females. We had a little trouble with one puppy being stuck, so Emmy had a C-section on Saturday morning to remove the puppy. It was dead. The good news is, mom and 8 puppies are doing well! In thirty years we have not experienced a C-section, and now two in a row! I was able to assist our vet with the surgery and was very happy that Emmy came through it just fine and is eating, drinking and taking excellent care of her puppies. All the males are spoken for in this litter, but we do have a female available. They will be ready for their new homes August 3. If you are interested, please fill out a puppy application if you are interested and we will call you for a phone interview. Needless to say, it has been very busy at Rolling Oaks and will continue to be so….Zoey is due this week with her litter! Here is a video of our Granddaughter Avery with one of Emmy’s puppies.

Delilah gave birth to 3 males, 4 females on Friday morning. She started delivering at 4:00 a.m. and by 1:30 seven puppies were born. Russ could tell there was another puppy, but Delilah was very relaxed and was not contracting. We waited till Saturday morning to bring her in for an x-ray, which confirmed there was one puppy high under the rib cage. We tried all day Saturday to help Delilah progress with drugs, chiropractor, homeopathy and exercise, but she did not progress. At 7:00 p.m. we had to have a C-Section performed. The puppy was a female, and she was not alive. The good news is, Delilah and her babies are doing well. In 30 years, we have never experienced a C-Section. Our veterinarian allowed Russ and I to observe the surgery. It truly is amazing how the body is made and how it heals. Delilah is a wonderful mother and is happily recovering!
