Hi Barb:

Here is Reagan’s 9 mo. old picture.  She has been a delightful puppy from the very start.  I get compliments on her all the time.  As you know I am buying another female from your liter due in July.  That puppy is a gift to my daughter and husband who will celebrate their wedding anniversary in May.  They couldn’t be more excited!  Reagan’s mother was Jasmine and her father Captain.  The new puppy will have a different mother but the same father.  The “girls” will be a lot of fun.

LOLA

Hi Barb,

I hope you had a great holiday season and a happy new year. I wanted to check in and let you know that Lola is doing great. She has her spay appointment on Wednesday – we’re excited to get that out of the way. Other than that, she is all up to date with vaccines and check ups. She is a happy, loving, wonderful dog and we cannot imagine life without her. Attached are a few recent pictures of Lola – mostly from last Saturday on Cedar Lake in Minneapolis. The older Golden is her best friend Monty who is 3 years old.

We hope you are doing well. Happy 2009!

Sarah & Jase

SADIE

Hi Barb,

I can’t believe that it has been over three months since I last sent you some photos of Sadie (from Captain and Jasmine’s July 2008 litter)! As you can see, at 5 months she is still beautiful and is growing daily. She was just spayed last week and we are all eagerly awaiting the vet releasing her to “full activity”! She did very well after the surgery–she didn’t even need to wear the dreaded “cone” after the first night— but she thinks she has been ready to be at “full activity” for several days now and really wants to resume her daily trips to the off-leash dog park!

She was a big hit at our families’ Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations—she accepted the adulation of the crowds with graciousness and relative calm, assuring that she will be welcome at future gatherings! She did, however, learn the potential rewards of “counter-surfing”, so we are working at re-educating her in that regard!

She continues to be a wonderful dog—smart, playful and loving–and we thank you again for choosing her for us.

Wishing you and your family and happy and healthy New Year,

Julie, Ron and Caitlin (and Sadie!)

MOJO

Barb: Hi! Merry Christmas! We got your card…everyone looks so cute.

Just wanted you to know that Mojo continues to be the biggest blessing in our life. He is so loving and sweet. No matter what kind of day we have, Mojo is always there for us!

I attached a couple of photos. For some odd reason, he just loves to lay out in the snow!

Take care.

TUCKER

Here are a few pictures of Tucker from Captain and Jasmine’s July litter. He’s just a great dog…very well socialized and loves being around lots of other people and dogs. It’s impossible for us to walk around the lake without people stopping all the time to gush over Tucker. On Saturday, we went kayaking for the first time. Other than him trying to jump head first into the lake twice, he loved being out on the water and took everything in stride. him started on the right track.Ben

Thank you so much for getting

SADIE

Hi Barb,
I wanted to give you an update on Sadie (Bandana, from Captain and Jasmine’s July litter). She is doing great–as seemingly all the owners who write in to you say, everyone comments on beautiful she is, and she knows it! The trainer in our puppy class filmed her during their “puppy playtime” because she thought Sadie had such an expressive face that showed the classic play attitudes and behaviors so clearly that she could use the film in her classes. She is a favorite during “pass the puppy” in class and no one wants to give her up–she is calm and “snuggly” during the whole process and everyone is amazed at how relaxed she is during all of that handling. I give credit where it is due and explain all that you did with her and her litter-mates before she ever came to us. The other new puppy owners are very impressed–and jealous, I think!

Especially when I say that she has slept through the night from the very beginning–without any accidents! (That part really kills them!) She is so smart and is learning commands faster than either of our other two goldens at this age. She does have a bit of a stubborn streak when it comes to walking on the leash at times–she just sits down and looks at me like she’s not moving another inch—but she is getting better at it everyday. She is a joy to have and we thank you for all that you did with her to make these first weeks so enjoyable.

We will keep sending occasional photos and updates (I know you hardly get any of those from others!) so you can see how she is doing.

Thanks again, Julie, Ron and Caitlin
