Otto is doing great! It honestly seems like we have had him forever, even though it has only been two weeks.

Puppies went to Pro works today. It is a facility that employs adults with special needs. Everyone was happy to hold a puppy!

Emmy gave birth to 8 puppies June 15! 5 males and 3 females. We had a little trouble with one puppy being stuck, so Emmy had a C-section on Saturday morning to remove the puppy. It was dead. The good news is, mom and 8 puppies are doing well! In thirty years we have not experienced a C-section, and now two in a row! I was able to assist our vet with the surgery and was very happy that Emmy came through it just fine and is eating, drinking and taking excellent care of her puppies. All the males are spoken for in this litter, but we do have a female available. They will be ready for their new homes August 3. If you are interested, please fill out a puppy application if you are interested and we will call you for a phone interview. Needless to say, it has been very busy at Rolling Oaks and will continue to be so….Zoey is due this week with her litter! Here is a video of our Granddaughter Avery with one of Emmy’s puppies.

Lucy (Captain/Emmy Feb. 2010) just had her 1st birthday on 2/25 and I wanted to share some photos with you. She got a large Kong as her present and loves it more than any other toy. Even though she loves the snow, we can’t wait for green grass so she can run and run and run and run…..Hope all is well with you and your dogs and we’ll be sure to check in soon! Yesterday Berthe turned 3. She is such a beauty. Thought I’d send along photos of just her. Luca is a master at posing for the camera, so he kept trying to get in the pictures, but I’ve isolated her in these. The one is with Chuck. The others are just me trying to get her to stay still. Once again, her parents should be proud: Emmy and Captain.
