Hi Barb and family! Maiya’s turning 2 tomorrow–how time flies! To celebrate, we’ll decorate a plate of canned salmon with lots of sprinkles, light a birthday candle and sing. Salmon is her favorite treat! Happy Birthday to all her Captain/Ruby Sept. 30, 2009 litter mates! Good Afternoon Barb – I hope you, your family, and all the Golden’s are doing well! It seems like you have been busy recently with a few new litters! We just added to our famly. My wife, Kari, and I just had a little baby boy on Saturday June 25th. Caleb John. I included a pic of Sierra and Summit greeting Caleb for the first time when we brought Caleb home from the hospital. One pic is of Sierra (Captain/Emmy – she just turned two in June.) with Kari rocking Caleb in the nursery. Since we bought Caleb home, Sierra follows Kari around and typically will curl up next to her when she is feeding Caleb and/or rocking him. It is really cute. Almost as if Sierra has her maternal instinct and is trying to help out. The other one is what I found Summit (Captian/Jewel) with this morning Kari and I were with Caleb in the nursery, and I walked back into our master bedroom to find Summit curled up on our bed….”pawing” something. Look closely…:) He must have grabbed the pacifier from the nightstand. Not good…necessarily, but really cute pic The two dogs are AWESOME with Caleb so far! It has been GREAT!

Hi Barb -  Just wanted to send a few pics your way. Badger turned two in February and I must say he is definitely a winter dog. He would spent HOURS outside if we let him. He loves to make snow angels. I’m so happy I put the time and energy into obedience class because he is such a well behaved dog (aside from the little bit of jumping he does like to do on people when we get visitors, but we continue to work on that). I know sometime we will want another from Rolling Oaks and if it were up to the kids, it would be right now! Take care and continue the exceptional work you do!!

Hi Barb, Just thought I would send you pictures of Jack today. It is hard to believe he is one already. (Jack is a Captain/Delilah puppy) Here he is enjoying our hopefully last snow storm on the last day of April. When I read your posting on the boy dogs I was nodding in agreement. Jack is so sweet and laid back, which I credit to good breeding and selection of personality by you, I am so glad we agreed to a male dog. Also we have followed your tips from day one about “who is the boss” and “who is the dog”. We were talking the other day about how we do not think we have ever heard him even growl. Like I said he is very laid back. We have just started our second round of obedience classes – more for socializing him around other dogs and people than for anything else. Our instructor just thinks he is a beautiful and well behaved dog Thank you again for such a great do.

Hello Barb, Congratulations on your new litter! We just wanted to update you on our fantastic Kali (Captain and Maddie Feb 2008)! She just turned 3 and is ABSOLUTELY perfect for our family. Kali loves to be around people and will retrieve a ball all day, if we let her. She loves the snow and whenever she gets a chance she will run and slide on the fresh snow. Kali and our daughter, Kiera, are best friends! We are amazed everyday when we see them interact. Kali is so gentle and tolerant Thanks for starting her off with so much love and care.
