There are no guarantees when you are a dog breeder. We bred Griffin and Cabela in October, expecting 8 to 12 puppies. Cabela had one very special little girl on February 3! This is very disappointing for us and the clients waiting for a puppy. We took Griffin to a fertility specialist and at the moment he is the cause for the small litter. We are doing further testing on him. In the meantime, we have two females (Jasmine & Zoey) coming into their cycle soon so we will have late spring/early summer puppies. I will be using an outside stud for these litters. I will post all the information regarding these litters soon.
We spent a lot of time over the Christmas season down on the lake. This video shows my dream come true….Russ, the kids and Grandkids with all the dogs. It doesn’t get any better!
We have been sending Christmas cards for 31 years. With friends, family and clients we sent over 800 last year. We decided to take a break and send a card every other year. I know our clients enjoy getting a greeting from us, and we love receiving all the wonderful cards from so many of you. It has just gotten to be so many to send, that we are going to try this and see how it goes! Christmas is such a wonderful time of year. We appreciate our family and friends and all our wonderful clients. Owning Rolling Oaks has created some wonderful relationships that we treasure! I have a very unique job. I get to place this wonderful living being into your arms and say ” Many blessings!” A puppy is a lot of work, but anything worth having takes work. All the time and effort you put into your puppy pays off with years of enjoyment and happiness, tons of memories, laughter and joy. As 2012 approaches, we wish you the very best! I DID IT!! I finished the book I have been working on called “Chosen For This Gift” and sent it to the publisher this week!! Most of you know that I have been working on this for years. It is about hope, survival and grace in my life and raising a child with special needs. When the book is printed I will have a link on this site to share it with you.

Ezra’s puppies will be ready for their new homes November 23. We have a male puppy available in this litter and a male and female available in Maddie’s litter. Her litter will be ready for their homes December 1!! Please fill out a puppy application if you are interested.

Norah Rose Jergens was born Saturday morning while I was setting up at the State Fair. I have to admit it was very hard for me to sit in the booth and not stand up and shout to all the people “ I HAVE A NEW GRANDDAUGHTER!!” Norah is our fifth grandchild. She is healthy and content. Her toes are so tiny, her ears so petite, I can hardly believe she is real. I can’t wait to get to know her personality and see her character. I absolutely love being a Grandma. I have so much fun just looking at the grandkids. I know every grandparent feels this way, but it is really a special emotion and love that you feel for grandkids. I feel like the luckiest person on earth!
