Dear Barb and all,
Here is Luca (compliments of Copper and Banner) eight years old today. He’s trimmed for hot Virginia summers, so he shows off his youthful 8 year old physique. He still plays like a puppy and runs like the wind. Berthe’s favorite game these days is to fetch the ball, throw it to Luca, and let Luca bring it to me. They are a very funny pair. We love them both, but today is Luca’s day, so the spotlight is on him. He’s a lovely testimony (among the hundreds you have) of Rolling Oaks Goldens. All our best to you,
Diana and Chuck

Hi Barb- Just wanted to share with you some new photos of Belle (Ivy and Banner Dec 2006) with our daughter Natalie. As you can see these two are best buddies. They are never far from one another and it is so fun to see the two of them play together. Belle is the best dog anyone with children could ask for.
Hope all is well!
Jamie and Family
Hi Barb!
We would love to tell you how great of a dog Cody is! He just turned 6 the other day, and is from Banner and Zena’s litter. Cody has been such a joy, and he definitely continues to humor us on a day to day basis. When we go on walks he is always receiving compliments on how “pretty” he is. Cody is a very spoiled dog, and gets lots and lots of love from everyone he meets. People fall for him immediately. His favorite activities are taking naps by your feet (or in your lap), playing with his beloved stuffed animals, and being outside in the sun. Cody’s puppy spirit still comes out sometimes when he pounces to his toys or runs laps around the backyard. Here are some recent pictures!
Thanks for the perfect dog!

I thought you’d enjoy some pictures of our lovely golden sisters. Morgan will turn 9 the end of September and Jersey turned 2 in July. If I remember right, they share the same dad (Banner). They are true charms and steal our hearts. I dread the day Morgan passes. Jersey will be lost. She seems to look up to Morgan and finds her comforting. (As you can tell in the pictures) I hope you all are enjoying the last days of summer. A person can’t thank you and your family enough for breeding such “out of this world” puppies!!

Shelby

Dory
Dear Barb,
Attached are recent photo’s of Dory, who is going to be 6 years old in August. She was from a litter with Banner and Zena. Shelby just turned 1 year old and her parents were Captain and Ruby Red. Dory had a rough adjustment upon Shelby’s arrival… even after a year they have a “love – hate” relationship on the Dory side. Shelby adores Dory all day, every day and that is part of the problem. Shelby has no idea about personal space and pushes Dory at times. Shelby has done all the typical puppy things.. digging in the yard, tearing wallpaper off the wall, eating socks and most recently swallowing Doug’s wedding ring. We love her and realize a 1 year old dog is similar to a teenager… learning most things the hard way. Both dogs make wonderful alarm clocks and we instruct them to wake up Kaylee, our 11 year old on school mornings. They love the job of jumping in her bed and licking her all over until she finally gets up. It makes our mornings so much easier having them take on this job. This job is done only after Dory manages to get the newspaper in the driveway. She watched Brandy, another Golden we got from you many years ago do this task every morning for 3 years. After Brandy passed, Doug opened the front door told Dory to, “get the paper” and she did without fail…. No training or coaching and she has been doing it for almost 3 years now. Thank you for sharing your love for dogs and talent for raising these beautiful animals for everyone to enjoy.
Sincerely, Eileen & Doug

July 12th was Charlie’s First Birthday. As you can see, he loves laying in his pool. Uncle Chester is 3 1/2

Just wanted to send a few pictures of Sugar and Honey. Sugar will be 3 at the end of May and Honey just turned 7 months.
Honey’s parents are Captain and Maddie. Sugar’s parents are Banner and Zena. They are both absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!
And they are excellent companions. We are so pleased to have them in our family! They get along famously and are true “buddies”. They are so fun to watch and they have great personalities. I have never had 2 dogs simultaneously before and it is great! It is actually easier. They keep each other company and it is fun to watch them learn from each other. We couldn’t be more pleased!
Take care,
Bill and Deb

BAXTER
Hi Barb,
I visit your site often and see the love of Goldens in each picture and testimonials from all who have your Goldens. Baxter was from Brandy’s and Banners 13 puppies that needed to be bottle fed. He was born in Jan 2002 and is the love of my life. He is such a sweet boy and we all love him to death. I married again after 24 years and Baxter has adopted John as his dad. It must be the male bonding thing. He is also the brother to Golden rescue from RAGOM Miss Holly Dolly who was a mama for 8 years before we adopted her. She is a little petite thing that thinks Baxter hung the moon. He is such a good boy and is always so polite with her. I want to thank you and your family for providing Goldens that are bred in very humane conditions and loved from the day they are born. I appreciate the process you go through to ensure all have a good home. You are truly angels on earth and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Hugs and kisses for all your Goldens and you!
Thanks,
Bonnie
